Job summary

Methodist Hospital Northeast is seeking a Physical Therapist PRN to support evenings (3pm-7pm) and weekends, with some weekday training availability (Mon-Fri, 8-5).

You will assess patients, develop personalized treatment plans, deliver evidence-based interventions, monitor progress, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the care team to promote recovery and independence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• Texas PT license issued by ECPTOTE is required with grace period if on temporary license.
• Preferred 1+ year inpatient/acute PT experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient abilities and develop personalized treatment plans with physicians and care team.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions to restore movement and reduce pain.
• Monitor progress and refine therapy plans with timely documentation.
• Educate patients and families on exercises and safe practices for independence.
• Collaborate across disciplines to ensure cohesive, patient-centered care.
• Lead by example and mentor therapy assistants or students.

Your role will include:

What qualifications you will need:

• Bachelors of Science, or higher degree from a university in Physical Therapy.
• Physical Therapy License issued by The Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy (ECPTOTE) Texas State Board – Grace Period of 90-180 days if on Temporary License status
• Prefer one or more years of experience in an Inpatient or Acute Physical Therapy Setting
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
