Job summary

Lubbock Heart & Surgical Hospital is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join our team on a PRN basis in Texas. The role emphasizes comprehensive evaluation, individualized treatment planning, and patient education within a hospital setting.

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's or Master's in Physical Therapy and be licensed to practice in Texas. This PRN position offers opportunities to work across our cardiac, orthopedic, and general surgery services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy.
• Texas PT license (Licensed in Texas).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat all assigned patients with evidence-based methods.
• Devise a treatment plan addressing age-specific needs and goals.
• Monitor progress and adjust goals to maximize patient benefit.
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and diagnoses.
• Coordinate with other services to schedule patients and provide coverage.

We are looking for a dedicated Physical Therapistlike you to join our Lubbock Heart team.

What You Will do in this Role:

• Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to accurately evaluate and effectively treat all assigned patients
• Devise a treatment plan that addresses individual, age specific needs, incorporating patient goals, to emphasize functional restoration and quality of life
• Monitor appropriateness of goals and prioritizes treatments to maximize patient benefit.
• Educate the patient and their family members regarding home exercise program, diagnosis specific information and purpose of any therapeutic intervention
• Coordinate with other services when scheduling patients and adjust schedule as necessary to provide additional coverage

What Qualifications You Will Need:

• Baccalaureate or Master’s degree from an accredited university.
• Currently licensed in the state of Texas.
• PT License

Your Shift: PRN

Lubbock Heart & Surgical Hospital specializes in the care of cardiac, orthopedic, nephrology, urology, and general medical patients. We are also a highly active inpatient center mainly centered on surgical procedures that include cardiothoracic, orthopedic, urology, and general surgery. We have a 24-hour Emergency Department with 5 fully equipped ED rooms, 4 fully operating OR rooms, 4 cardiac catherization labs with 1 electrophysiology room, 11-day surgery rooms, 58 acute care beds spread over three units, and 16 cardiac critical care rooms. We pride ourselves on giving the best overall care possible to our patients and on our family style atmosphere that includes everyone: patients and their families, physicians, and our employees.
