Job summary

Easterseals Florida, Inc. seeks a Pediatric Physical Therapist to deliver services in school settings and at our Dunn Avenue hub in Volusia County. This part-time, as-needed role supports children within local schools and our pediatric therapy program.

You will perform evaluations, create treatment plans, document progress in EMR, and collaborate with families and the care team to help children gain skills for home, school, and community.

Qualifications

• Florida-licensed Physical Therapist with a valid license in good standing.
• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; Doctorate (DPT) preferred.
• Pediatric experience preferred but passion for working with children is key.
• Must be able to drive a personal vehicle for program-related travel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and re-evaluations for pediatric clients.
• Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
• Track progress through timely documentation using EMR systems.
• Set and achieve meaningful goals outlined in each Plan of Care.
• Manage your caseload effectively while mentoring and supervising PTA(s).
• Collaborate with families, schools, early intervention programs, and care teams.
• Empower families through education and support.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to positively shape the lives of children while working closely with families and a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy (Doctorate preferred)
• Licensed Physical Therapist in the State of Florida
• Medicaid and National Provider Number (preferred)
• Previous pediatric experience (preferred- but passion for working with children is key!)
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
• Proficiency with basic computer applications and EMR systems
• Flexibility and commitment to self-development
• Integrity, tact, and sound judgment
• Ability to meet our approved driver qualifications in order to drive your personal vehicle, as required to drive for program related business
