Memphis Physical Therapy is hiring a dedicated Physical Therapist to cover our outpatient clinic in Tennessee. You will assess patients, develop treatment plans, and provide direct care using established guidelines within a collaborative, supportive environment.

Applicants should hold a CAPTE-accredited degree and Tennessee licensure or be in the licensing process. Outpatient orthopedic experience and CPR certification are preferred, with strong communication and multitasking skills valued.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from a CAPTE accredited Physical Therapist program.
  • Current Tennessee license or ability to begin the licensing process promptly.
  • Desirable marketing experience to support the promotion of clinic services.
  • Outpatient orthopedic experience, including exercise, manual-based skills, and sports rehabilitation, is preferred.
  • CPR certification.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities to manage the clinic effectively.
  • A self-starter with a mindset for achieving growth and success.
  • A passion for providing quality patient care with a positive and compassionate approach.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients to develop and initiate treatment plans based on evaluation results.
  • Review physician referrals and patient records to determine required physical therapy treatment.
  • Provide direct patient care by established protocols and guidelines.
  • Document findings, progress, and instructions to patients and caregivers.
  • Oversee patient care performed by assistants and rehabilitation technicians.
  • Complete a written plan of care, set goals, and develop a comprehensive program to attain them.
  • Implement treatment programs and provide essential physical therapy interventions.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, physicians, and insurance companies.
  • Ensure timely documentation including daily notes and evaluation/discharge summaries.

Job Description

  • Assess patients to develop and initiate treatment plans based on the evaluation results
  • Review the physician's referral (prescription) and the patient's condition and medical records to determine the physical therapy treatment required
  • Provide direct patient care by established protocols and patient care guidelines
  • Document findings, progress, and instructions to patients and caregivers
  • Responsible for patient care performed by assistants and rehabilitation technicians
  • Complete a written plan of care, develop goals based on evaluation findings, and develop a comprehensive program to attain goals
  • Implement physical therapy treatment program and provide essential physical therapy treatments
  • Communicate effectively with patients/caregivers and professional colleagues, including physicians and insurance companies
  • Ensure timely documentation, including daily notes, weekly workers' compensation reports, progress reports, initial evaluations, discharge summaries, and incident reports
