Job summary

BrightStar Care of New Mexico is seeking an experienced PRN Physical Therapist to join our team. You will deliver personalized, evidence-based care, helping improve patients' lives through rehabilitation. Responsibilities include assessing muscle strength and mobility, developing individualized exercise programs, and educating patients and families.

We offer competitive pay ranging from $70-$80 per hour, flexible scheduling, and opportunities in both home health and facility settings.

Qualifications

  • Current, active Physical Therapy license in the state of New Mexico.
  • At least 2 years of physical therapy experience, preferably in home health or facility.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical activities required in care delivery.

We are currently seeking an experienced PRN Physical Therapist to join our growing team.

Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist, you will play a key role in improving patients' lives through personalized, evidence-based care. Responsibilities include:

  • Deliver physical therapy services in accordance with physician orders.
  • Perform assessments of muscle strength, mobility, gait, and range of motion.
  • Develop individualized care and exercise programs tailored to patient needs.
  • Provide gait training and recommend/teach the use of assistive devices.
  • Educate patients, families and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and equipment.
  • Document patient progress and communicate updates to the Director of Nursing and physician.
  • Participate in case conferences and discharge planning.Provide staff in-service education and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications
  • Education: Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree
  • Licensure: Current, active Physical Therapy license in the state of New Mexico; must have passed the NPTE and state exam.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of physical therapy experience (home health or facility preferred).
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of PT methods, evidence- based practices, and ability to work collaboratively with patients and healthcare teams.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs and perform standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and other physical activities required in care delivery.
  • Other Requirements: Commitment to continuing education and professional growth.
