The Physical Therapist is responsible for clinical development and implementation of patient plan of care programs. Job responsibilities also include supervision of technician staff and maintaining applicable standards/licensure. The Therapist must maintain required state licensure to carry out essential functions of position.

1. Ability to conduct and document assessments in clear concise manner.
2. Ability to utilize computer equipment for documentation and treatment methodologies.
3. Ability to maintain and update skill level to match program requirements.
Essential Job Functions:
Performs therapy on assigned patients in accordance with organization, certification, and state licensure requirements.
Provides clinical supervision of technicians at assigned locations to insure program clinical protocols are being followed.
Provides training and direction to clinical support staff at assigned location to insure program procedures, guidelines and daily activities are being followed.
Prepares and maintains documentation required by TWCC, and other organizations in a manner that promotes timely billing and standards compliance.
Demonstrates necessary organizational skills to insure smooth patient flow as it pertains to scheduling of admissions, treatments, referrals to other internal programs, and discharges.
Maintains good public relations with physicians, insurance carriers and networks, referral sources, and other stakeholders involved in treating persons served.
Maintains therapy/testing equipment at assigned location and reports any malfunctions to the clinic director. This includes maintenance of any required records of same.
Maintains a positive, professional attitude towards persons served, stakeholders, and supervision in a manner that does not negatively affect or impact client progress and the organizations goals and objectives.
Practices safety, security, and response to emergencies as defined by the facility safety policy and procedures.
Education/Licensure/Experience Requirements
Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy
Current Texas License
Prefer experience in rehabilitation field
Physical demands of job include ability to lift up to 50 lb maximum. Stand and walk for prolonged periods of time. Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, turn, twist, and bend at waist level during patient treatment. Lifts supplies and equipment and reaches for, lifts, carries, and handles relatively light equipment and supplies. Pushes, pulls carts and equipment. Makes frequent trips to all areas of facility.
