What does a RousePer Diem PT do?

  • Ensures coverage of PT services in order to comply with physician orders for all residents.
  • Ensures proper documentation for billing including MA, MC parts A & B, and cooperate with FMO to successfully bill for covered services.
  • Works with the Medical Records Department, Nursing and Financial Management Office to ensure appropriate and timely documentation of therapy records and billing practices in accordance with applicable State and Federal law.
  • Provides interpretation of referrals for Physical Therapy.
  • Provides initial resident contact and evaluation to establish an initial care plan.
  • Assists in development, implementation and evaluation of progress, ensuring that residents maintain their highest functional level.
  • Provides direct resident therapy, as licensed, via screening, evaluation, treatment and monitoring of resident progress.
  • Works with the Interdisciplinary Care Planning Team, including the residents and families, to provide a comprehensive rehabilitation program for the residents.
  • Develops or modify care plans as indicated; provide final discharge assessment or establishment of a discharge plan as indicated.
  • Adheres to professional, ethical, & legal standards of practice.
  • Enhances therapy department by working together as a team to accept ownership for tasks while exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Ensure that the dignity of all residents is preserved as you carry out working tasks.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What are the requirements to be aPer Diem PT at the Rouse?

  • Must be a graduate from a credited PT program and be licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
  • Experience in a long-term care environment a plus.
