Job description

Atlantic Health System is seeking a dynamic and qualified Per Diem Physical Therapist for their Atlantic Rehabilitation Division's outpatient location at Hackettstown Medical Center. The Team Member will be responsible for providing a broad range of physical therapy services in an interdisciplinary setting, including assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions in accordance with the position's qualifications, professional practices, and ethical standards. The Team member will ensure and provide development, quality improvement, problem-solving, and productivity enhancement in a flexible interdisciplinary manner. The Schedule for this position is M-F with varying shifts that include two nights a week until 7p.


Principal Accountabilities:
  1. Performs initial examinations and differential diagnosis.
  2. Provides and prescribes plans of care consisting of corrective therapeutic exercise.
  3. Performs manual treatments consisting of soft tissue techniques, joint mobilizations, and many more.
  4. Supervises and interacts with support staff and maintains proper documentation.
  5. Evaluates and establishes a plan of care and treats patients accordingly.
  6. Documents patient care and charges appropriately, including progress made and the ongoing need for treatment.
  7. Works with other professionals in an effective manner.
  8. Provides clinically appropriate therapeutic interventions.
  9. Evaluates patient response to treatment and provides feedback to the interdisciplinary team.
  10. Performs other related duties as assigned.
