Job summary

Plumas District Hospital in Quincy, CA is seeking a Physical Therapist to join their outpatient therapy team. You will help individuals regain activities they love while providing compassionate care in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
  • Active California Physical Therapy License (in good standing).
  • 1+ year experience in acute care or outpatient settings.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Educate patients and families on the use of assistive devices.
  • Record and report to the physician on patient reactions to treatment.

Location: Quincy, CA

Compensation Range
  • Per Diem Pay Scale $66.61 - $94.97
Compensation Philosophy
  • We have 13 pay increments on our clinical pay scales to compensate successful candidates for 30 years of relevant experience
  • Per Diem, non‑benefited
  • You will float between SNF, Inpatient, and Outpatient Settings
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program
  • Active California Physical Therapy License (in good standing)
  • Successful completion of the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE)
  • Current AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Compliance with all California and federal PT regulatory requirements
Preferred Experience
  • 1+ year experience in acute care, swing bed/skilled nursing, or outpatient settings
  • Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and documentation skills
  • Ability to manage diverse patient populations and diagnoses
  • Proficiency with computers and EMR systems
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and high attention to detail
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans by applying diagnostic and prognostic muscle, nerve, joint, and functional ability tests
  • Treat injuries, manage chronic conditions, prevent future problems, improve physical function and educate patients to maximize and/or maintain their maximum level of independence
  • Record and report to the physician the patient’s reaction to treatment and/or any changes in the patient’s condition as required/needed
  • Educate patients and their families on the use of prosthetic, orthotic, and assistive devices (canes, walkers, wheelchairs, etc.) and other necessary therapeutic equipment/devices
  • Attend rehabilitation center staff meetings and in-service presentations

Child Care

PDH offers a Child Care Center for employees’ families. The program operates Monday through Friday from 7:45 am to 5:15 pm and serves children ages 0–5.
