Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Physical Therapist for per diem coverage at Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL. The role focuses on direct PT services, evaluation, and development of effective treatment plans with weekend shifts (2 per month) and seasonal holiday coverage.

The candidate should have 1–3 years of acute-care experience, a PT degree (Master's preferred), IL licensure if possible, and current CPR/BLS certification. Perks include competitive pay and employee benefits.

• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
• 2 weekend shifts per month; 8am–4:30pm.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct physical therapy services to patients.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to achieve functional goals.
• Assess and document patient status and progress; adjust plans accordingly.
• Educate patients to engage them in their care.
• Keep up-to-date with new PT techniques and equipment.
• Maintain clinical reasoning to achieve outcomes.

Hourly Pay Range: $38.67 - $59.94 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights: Position: Physical Therapist - Per Diem Flat Hourly Per Diem Rate: $51.00 per hour Location: Edward Hospital, Naperville, IL Per Diem/PRN Hours: Weekend shifts. (2) 8 hour weekend shifts required per month, 8am to 4:30pm. 1 Summer and 1 Winter holiday per year.

What you will do:

• Provides direct physical therapy services to patients.
• Demonstrates an appropriate level of clinical skill, as evidenced by the completion of comprehensive and insightful evaluations, and the development of individualized and effective treatment plans designed to achieve precise, functional goals.
• Evaluates patient’s physical and functional status and plans and implements therapeutic programs that include prevention, identification, correction and alleviation of acute or prolonged movement dysfunction of an anatomic or physiologic origin.
• Uses excellent communication skills to educate patients and engage them in their own care.
• Stays updated regarding developments, new techniques, and equipment in the field of physical therapy.
• Maintains a well-rounded knowledge base, and clinical reasoning skills to consistently achieve expected clinical outcomes.

What you will need:

• A minimum of 1-3 years' experience with demonstration of clinical independence in an Acute-Care setting, preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy, required Master's Degree, preferred Current State of Illinois Physical Therapist licensure Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association BLS provider
• Support available for certification and development
• Required without License: Notification from Continental Testing Services advising of receipt and approval of application for licensure (if first-time test taker).
• “Authorization to Test” (ATT) letter from Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy
• Confirmation of Computer-Based Exam State of Illinois Physical Therapy license within 90 days of hire
• Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association BLS provider
