Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital Birmingham is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) for a PRN/Per Diem role in Birmingham, AL at Brookwood Baptist Medical Center. The PT will perform initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and supervise PT staff and students, ensuring quality care and proper documentation.

On-site position with generous orientation and potential for advancement. Requires active state licensure and BLS certification or completion within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments.
• Promote continuous quality improvement in care.
• Teach and counsel patients and families.
• Set goals and develop treatment plans for patients.
• Work with the team to identify and solve patient-specific and facility-wide needs.
• Participate in discharge planning, including education and equipment placement.
• Supervise PTs, PT assistants, and PT/PTA students.
• Provide and modify individual patient therapy regimens as needed.
• Complete documentation per department policies.

Schedule: PRN/Per Diem

Compensation: $54.00 per hour

Minimum Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist required.
• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.
