Responsibilities

Elizabeth Seton Children's Rehabilitation Center is an outpatient diagnostic and treatment center for children with medically complex conditions. The rehabilitation center provides comprehensive medical and rehabilitative services such as physical, occupational, speech and feeding therapies, as well as medical specialties including orthopedics, physiatry, ophthalmology, neurology, neonatology, audiology, and urology. The center also provides care coordination services and a therapeutic pool. It is part of the Elizabeth Seton Children's family of organizations, which includes Elizabeth Seton Children's Center and Elizabeth Seton Children's School, sponsored by the Sisters of Charity Ministry Network.

This is a Full Time position Monday - Friday 9a/5p/10a-6p Flex Sat. Per Diem positions are also available at $80.00/hr.

Position responsibilities will include:

• Providing treatment for approximately 10 – 12 patients per day
• Supervising student interns as directed by the Manager
• Conducting initial Physical Therapy evaluations and re-evaluations
• Developing and reviewing patient care plans in conjunction with the Physiatrist
• Participating in clinical quality assurance initiatives
• Providing patient education through verbal explanation, visual demonstration, or written documentation
• Completing reporting activities as required by regulatory and departmental standards including but not limited to:
  • daily notation of therapy
  • all progress reports with updates
• Participating in rehabilitation rounds/staff conferences
• Participating in all departmental in-services and staff development activities
• Additional responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time, such as splinting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s/Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
• NYS License as a registered Physical Therapist. Must maintain license in good standing.
