Physical Therapist, Outpatient Clinic

Location

Job Responsibilities
  1. Provide physical therapy services to patients with impairments, functional limitations, or disabilities resulting from injury, disease, or other causes.
  2. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members.
  3. Educate patients, families, and others.
  4. Direct and supervise support personnel.
  5. Manage technical, environmental, and financial resources effectively.
  6. Assess and evaluate physical therapy needs according to organizational and professional guidelines.
  7. Develop and revise treatment plans based on patient progress, including discharge planning.
  8. Ensure complete, timely documentation in accordance with guidelines.
  9. Orient, train, and mentor therapy and healthcare students.
  10. Identify and act upon performance improvement opportunities.
  11. Participate in additional departmental, organizational, or network activities as per objectives.
  12. Uphold organizational values of Innovation, Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • Licensed and in good standing as a physical therapist in Rhode Island.
  • Required Skills:
    • BLS certification.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
    • Basic math and computer skills.
    • Knowledge of physical therapy evaluation and treatment techniques.
    • Problem-solving skills considering patient’s age and background.
    • Ability to teach and self-assess learning needs.
