Job description

Overview

IU Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation is looking for a full-time float Physical Therapist to join our team! As a float Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for providing fill-in coverage at our hospital-based clinics in the Indianapolis metro area. You will provide physical therapy services to restore function, reduce pain, and prevent disability following disease or injury, assisting patients to reach maximum performance levels. This role includes all components of direct patient care, including supervision of physical therapist assistants, support personnel, and students. You will also participate in related activities to support patient care, education, and department operations.

Minimum Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited academic program in physical therapy.
  • If foreign trained, graduation from a physical therapy education program outside the US with educationally equivalent coursework accepted by Indiana PLA.
  • Current Physical Therapist license in the State of Indiana.
  • Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
