The Physical Therapist is responsible for delivering physical therapy care to assigned patients and documenting care in the medical record.
Acts as a consultant to clinics, instructs PT support staff, students, other disciplines, and patients/families.
Therapists may rotate through various clinical service areas.
Licensed (or eligible) by the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Physical Therapist.
Current license by the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Physical Therapist.
Current CPR certification if required by clinic.
Required: New graduate to 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist.
Preferred: Previous experience at a similar facility.
Required: Graduate of an accredited School of Physical Therapy.
Preferred: Master's or Doctoral Degree from an accredited School of Physical Therapy.
Patient evaluation, care plan implementation, discharge planning, equipment ordering, representation at rounds, scheduling, and charging patients.
May supervise PT Assistants, Technicians, students, and volunteers. Works as part of a self-directed team, escalating unresolved issues to management.
Work hours established with manager, including weekends and holidays as needed. Serves Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics.
Physical demands include lifting 50-100 lbs, frequent bending, walking, climbing, reaching, and repetitive motions. Must have strong recall, reasoning, problem-solving, hearing, speaking, writing, reading, and logical thinking skills. Environment may be fast-paced, noisy, and require adaptability.
