Job summary

Piedmont Rockdale Hospital in Conyers, Georgia is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist for outpatient services. You will conduct evaluations and provide modalities and treatments to improve function and reduce pain across pediatric to geriatric patients.

The role includes supervision of physical therapist assistants and potential orientation for staff. A Georgia PT license (or compact) and BCLS certification are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program with a BS, MS, or DPT.
• Must maintain current CEU's as by the State.
• Current Georgia Physical Therapist License or compact privileges in Georgia.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support through AHA Required.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical therapy services for a designated group of patients, assisting them to reach highest level of physical independence.
• Conducts physical therapy evaluations, modalities, and treatments to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability following disease or injury.
• Provides patient care to all age groups to include pediatric, adult and geriatric.
• Responsible for the care of patients treated by physical therapist assistants; may orient and guide assigned staff.

Overview:

Piedmont Rockdale is a 161-bed, acute care, not-for-profit community hospital in Conyers that has provided compassionate, patient-centered care to Rockdale County and surrounding communities since 1954. We offer 24-hour emergency care, plus most major medical, surgical and diagnostic services.

Responsibilities:

Provides physical therapy services for a designated group of patients, assisting them to reach highest level of physical independence. Conducts physical therapy evaluations, modalities, and treatments to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability following disease or injury. Provides patient care to all age groups to include pediatric, adult and geriatric. Responsible for the care of patients treated by physical therapist assistants. May be responsible for orientation and ongoing guidance of assigned staff.

Qualifications:

Education

• 2 years of experience Preferred
