Job summary

Confluence Health in Washington state is seeking a Physical Therapist to diagnose and treat patients with musculoskeletal or neurological impairments, evaluate patients, and develop treatment plans with discharge planning for both inpatient and outpatient settings.

The role requires a WA state PT license and outpatient PT experience is preferred. A comprehensive benefits package is offered. Sign-on bonus up to $7,000 for external applicants.

Qualifications

  • Active WA State Physical Therapist license required by start date.
  • One year of outpatient physical therapy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform initial evaluation including history of prior level of function, subjective information, objective tests and measures, assessment and establishing plan of care and goals for future treatments.
  • Incorporate evidence based clinical decision making to select and utilize appropriate patient interventions and modify plan based on progress.
  • Follow best practice for clinical documentation.
  • Maintain patient safety, modesty and privacy/confidentiality at all times.
  • Provide education to patients, caregivers and staff about adaptive equipment and safety precautions.
  • Provide supervision and guidance to Physical Therapy Assistants and rehab aides.
  • Collaborate with physicians, case managers, nurses and other therapy staff; participate in discharge planning.
  • Screen for and refer to other disciplines as indicated.

$43.36 - $67.84

Summary
  • Up to $7,000 in sign on bonus, $5,000 after one year, & $3,000 after two years.

A Physical Therapist provides professional services in diagnosing disorders and providing therapy for patients with musculoskeletal or neurological impairments. This includes evaluation of all assigned/scheduled patients, the development of treatment plans, administration and implementation of the treatment program, and appropriate discharge planning.

Essential Functions
  • Perform initial evaluation including history of prior level of function, subjective information, objective tests and measures, assessment (including discharge disposition recommendation in acute setting), and establishment of plan of care and goals for future treatments.
  • Incorporate evidence based clinical decision making to select and utilize appropriate patient interventions in accordance with plan of care, and modify plan of care as appropriate based on patient progress/response to interventions.
  • Follow best practice for clinical documentation.
  • Maintain patient safety, modesty and privacy/confidentiality at all times.
  • Provide education to patients, caregivers and other staff members as appropriate to include adaptive equipment and recommended safety precautions.
  • Provide supervision and guidance as needed to Physical Therapy Assistants and rehabilitation aides.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with other team members including physicians, case managers, nurses, and other therapy staff, including participation in discharge planning in inpatient settings.
  • Screen for and make referrals to other disciplines when indicated.
  • Required to maintain current BLS certification.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required:

  • Active or interim WA State Physical Therapist License, required by start date.
