Position Title: Physical Therapist, Outpatient
Job Description Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic Physical Therapist to join our 25-member team at VHC Health! Outpatient Physical Therapists work within specialty teams such as orthopedics, spine, balance, vestibular, pelvic health, lymphedema, oncology, cardiac, and chronic pain. They also treat oncology and cardiac patients. Our department values continual learning and evidence-based practice, with specialty rounds for article reviews, case discussions, and skill enhancement. We have a robust onboarding process, including mentorship for new hires.
The team emphasizes manual techniques with minimal modality use, supported by advanced equipment like real-time ultrasound, biofeedback, blood flow therapy, and vestibular evaluation tools.
Our new, state-of-the-art facility will feature a new aquatic program, offering career growth opportunities such as climbing the clinical ladder or moving into leadership roles. We are expanding with new off-site locations, providing more accessible care options.

Purpose & Scope:
The scope of practice for a physical therapist includes diagnosis, prognosis, and management to improve physical function, health, and well-being. It is governed by jurisdictional laws and personal competence, supported by evidence and aligned with evolving healthcare needs.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in physical therapy required; Master's or doctorate preferred.
Experience:
One year preferred.
Licensure & Certification:
Licensed as a Physical Therapist in Virginia; BLS certification required.
