Overview

Copley Hospital, a rural critical access hospital located in Morrisville/Stowe VT, is seeking a Physical Therapist to join our team. Copley has an outstanding orthopedic program and is looking to hire a talented Physical Therapist with a variety of skills. This position offers a mix of inpatient and outpatient services, with desirable sub-specialties including Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation, Cardiac Rehabilitation, Pediatric Rehabilitation, and Wound/Foot Care. Responsibilities
  • Work at any site supported by Copley Rehabilitation, including outpatient and inpatient clinics, satellite clinics, and aquatic therapy.
  • Perform comprehensive patient evaluations for various patient types, including acute and sub-acute inpatients, peri-operative patients, SNF patients, outpatients, and those in cardiopulmonary rehab.
  • Participate in the weekend and holiday inpatient rotation (generally 4 to 6 weekends or holidays per year).
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and transitional communication to coordinate patient care.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies governing healthcare.
  • Assist in overseeing the work of PTAs and technician staff when applicable.
  • Respond promptly to policy and procedure updates, ensuring work is aligned with current information.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and timely, including evaluations, treatment notes, re-evaluations, home exercise programs, discharge reports, and communications. Documentation must support medical necessity and billing requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Manage patient schedules proactively to meet productivity standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's, Master’s, or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • No prior employment experience required.
  • Desired: 1-2 years of experience as a licensed Physical Therapist in acute care and outpatient orthopedics. Experience with Pelvic Floor, Cardiac, Vestibular Rehabilitation, and Dry Needling is highly beneficial.
  • BLS certification required within 6 months of employment. ACLS certification required within 6 months of assignment to Cardiopulmonary Rehab.
