Job Summary

The Physical Therapist conducts diagnostic testing and treatment, primarily for patients with pelvic health and orthopedic deficits, including some with neurologic deficits. Supports treatment plan development for patients in the Arkansas State Veterans Home. Located in Northwest Arkansas, supporting pelvic health and orthopedic patients at UAMS.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy (graduated prior to 2002), OR Master's degree (prior to 2016), OR Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physical Therapist by the Arkansas State Board.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Effective communication with staff, physicians, and patients.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
  • Ability to conduct and interpret patient tests.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's or DPT degree.
  • Two years of PT experience.
  • Bilingual skills (Spanish-English) preferred.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, diagnose, and treat patients aged 12 and above with mobility or health issues.
  • Develop treatment plans to promote movement, reduce pain, and restore function.
  • Prevent mobility loss through fitness and wellness programs.
  • Ensure documentation complies with policies and HIPAA standards.
  • Support treatments at VA Home.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
