Orlando Health Lake Mary Hospital is a new 124-bed acute-care hospital – with room to grow to 240 beds, located in Seminole County, Florida. The facility offers a full range of services, including inpatient & outpatient rehabilitation, cardiovascular care, emergency care, general surgery, orthopedics, obstetrics, childbirth, postpartum care, and a future NICU.

ABOUT OUR IP & OP REHAB DEPARTMENT:
- Offers rehabilitation services for a spectrum of needs – from hip fractures, joint replacements, sports medicine, to stroke, traumatic brain injury, cardiac surgery, and oncology/lymphedema rehab.
- Includes both inpatient and outpatient care
- Inpatient Acute Care Therapy provides specialized therapists for Oncology/Lymphedema, Neurological Conditions, Stroke, Orthopedics, Limb Loss, Multiple Traumas, and more!
- Outpatient services are at our clinic in Longwood, FL
Responsibilities
Position Summary:
The Physical Therapist provides services to restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit physical disabilities. Works closely with patients to promote overall fitness and wellness. This position primarily supports weekend staffing.
Essential Functions
- Evaluates patients, gathering data from various sources including patients, physicians, and family.
- Develops and implements treatment plans with specific goals.
- Demonstrates competency in the use and maintenance of equipment, ensuring safety.
- Re-evaluates and adjusts treatment plans as needed.
- Communicates when patients have received optimal benefit from therapy.
- Adheres to State Practice Act and Standards of Practice.
