Physical Therapist – Neuro Outpatient
As a Physical Therapist at Saint Alphonsus Health System, you will play a vital role in evaluating and treating patients with neurological conditions in our outpatient neuro rehabilitation program. Description
Physical Therapist – Neuro Outpatient
As a Physical Therapist at Saint Alphonsus Health System, you will play a vital role in evaluating and treating patients with neurological conditions in our outpatient neuro rehabilitation program. You’ll work closely with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans that promote mobility, restore function, and enhance quality of life for individuals recovering from stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, and other neurological disorders.
This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, patient-centered environment where your expertise in neuro rehab will be valued and supported. You’ll also provide guidance to support personnel to ensure consistent, high-quality care throughout the patient journey.
Qualifications
- Current Physical Therapy licensure in the State of Idaho and/or Oregon.
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification from AHA, ARC, or the Military Training Network is required at hire, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
- Previous experience in Acute Care or Rehabilitation preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care and coordinate therapy services across clinical areas
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans
- Evaluate and document patient progress; communicate effectively with the care team
- Educate patients and families to support treatment goals
- Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and Therapy Aides
- Participate in staff training, continuing education, and quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation
