Job summary

Restore Therapy Services in Birmingham, AL, seeks a Physical Therapist (Full Time - PT) to provide therapy services per physician’s plan of care, supervise therapy assistants, assess functional status, and direct treatment. You will educate patients and families, contribute to care plans, report progress to physicians, and participate in case conferences while maintaining compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• Degree from a baccalaureate or Master’s program in physical therapy.
• Hold a valid and current license to practice physical therapy in the state.
• Demonstrates good verbal and written communication and organization skills.
• Familiarity with computer use, internet, email and confidentiality requirements.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with insured vehicle; some travel may be required.
• CPR certification required for outpatient position.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical therapy services according to a physician’s plan of care.
• Assesses muscle strength, mobility, ROM, gait; directs therapy treatment.
• Instructs patients and families in use and care of therapeutic devices.
• Supervises physical therapy assistants according to policy and state regulations.
• Maintains communication with other care team members to coordinate plans of care.
• Attends meetings and case conferences as required by policy.
