Job Details

The Staff Physical Therapist is responsible for the evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning of all patients referred for their services. The Physical Therapist is an essential healthcare provider committed to helping patients reach their highest level of function. The Staff Level I Therapist will uphold the mission, vision, and values of Jefferson Health. They will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate treatment plans and care.
Lymphedema Certification required.

Job Description

Essential Functions:

  1. Provide therapy evaluations, treatment planning, interventions, and discharge planning for a full patient caseload across acute care, skilled nursing facilities, acute rehab, and outpatient settings as appropriate.
  2. Participate in student education and supervision.
  3. Engage in education and teaching activities appropriate for a novice clinician.
  4. Design, organize, and implement treatment programs to facilitate recovery and rehabilitation.
  5. Utilize appropriate tools and techniques to administer safe therapeutic interventions and training for patients and families.
  6. Document clients'/patients' health progress, including evaluations, interventions, daily treatments, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education:

Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Program.

Experience:

0-2 years of clinical practice required; 1 year preferred.

Valid state license in Physical Therapy.

CPR certification (American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers, BLS) required.

Lymphedema Certification required.
