Responsibilities
The Physical Therapist - Journey Traveler must be able to travel nationwide for 13 week assignments. This role provides flexibility to travel the country and work in various settings. Primary duties include:
- Assess, develop, and deliver physical therapy programs to facilitate rehabilitation.
- Identify needs for referrals to other disciplines to address comprehensive patient needs.
- Implement individualized therapy programs designed to restore, reinforce, and enhance performance; educate patients and caregivers to promote independence.
- Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, temporary licensees, students, and support personnel as permitted by state licensure and standards.
- Ensure effective and efficient delivery of rehab services, adherence to plan of care, schedule, and timely documentation.
- Participate in patient care and staffing conferences; make referrals to other disciplines as needed.
- Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to select appropriate therapeutic regimens; adapt plans for individual patients.
- Promote a safe environment and maintain equipment; order supplies as necessary.
- Conduct screenings and evaluations to establish diagnoses and design plans of care; set treatment goals with patients and caregivers.
- Provide therapeutic techniques including therapeutic exercise, functional training, manual therapy, airway clearance, integumentary care, and modalities; design, fabricates and trains on adaptive devices when needed.
- Monitor progress, adjust plans, and perform routine reexaminations as required; perform other related duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapy license in the state(s) of practice or proof of license and eligibility.
- Master's degree in Physical Therapy, or Master's in a related field with a Bachelor's in Physical Therapy; or Bachelor's in Physical Therapy with 5 years of progressively responsible PT experience.
- Ability to travel and temporarily reside away from primary home location.
- For degrees earned outside the U.S., the credential must be evaluated as equivalent to a U.S. degree in Physical Therapy.
Posted Salary Range: USD $55.00 - USD $70.00 /Hr.
