NovaCare Rehabilitation LifeBridge Health

NovaCare / LifeBridge Health in Westminster, MD is the inpatient rehabilitation provider for Carroll Hospital. This 153-bed inpatient hospital is seeking local part-time, PRN, or per diem physical therapists (PT) to join our team. We are unable to consider new graduates for part-time or PRN coverage. We have a large clinical team in need of coverage for vacation, sick leave, or emergencies. Part-time is defined as a steady schedule of less than 32 hours a week. PRN and per diem do not have a set schedule; we would pair your availability with our coverage needs. We are looking to build a local per diem pool of experienced inpatient physical therapists or steady part-time PTs. Our hospital is open year-round, including most holidays.

Position Summary

Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with the patient’s needs and physician direction. Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients. Ensures the design of functional treatment programs allowing for an effective return to community activities. Serves as an educator of patients, families, students, co-workers, and self. Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, development of discipline-specific therapy services, and design of program delivery.

We offer advanced treatment and comprehensive care for individuals facing medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges such as:

  • Neurological Disorders
  • Orthopedic Conditions

No PTO or medical benefits for less than 32 hours, but we can discuss CEU courses. Full-time positions are also available.

Please note: As a condition of employment, if not already completed, all new hires are required to receive the first dose of the COVID-19 Vaccination Series prior to their Occupational Health pre-employment assessment, and scheduled to complete the Vaccine Series within the first thirty (30) days of employment.

Responsibilities
  • Understand appropriate state practice acts and adhere to the laws which govern how physical therapists may practice and whom physical therapists may supervise.
  • Complete and maintain all corporate & clinical services required training and maintain compliance with state/local/federal regulations.
  • Evaluate, treat, and direct treatment for patients for whom physical therapy is medically necessary and document this need clearly.
  • Maintain open and respectful communication with co-workers, physicians, patients, family members, and third-party payors at all times.
  • Attend and/or participate in facility meetings as directed by the manager.
Qualifications
  • Graduate from an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) accredited PT school.
  • Valid State Physical Therapist License.
  • Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required.
