Job summary

Adventist Health Sonora seeks a Physical Therapist to plan and conduct segments of treatment programs designed to restore and improve physical, social and mental functions. The role serves as a co-leader in an interdisciplinary approach to patient groups.

Education includes a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree with licensure in the state of practice. Two years of PT experience are preferred and CPR/BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree is required; only if license obtained after January 2016 or foreign equivalent.
• Licensure as a Physical Therapist in the practice state is required.

Responsibilities

• Completes evaluations to ensure quality standards and addresses assessment areas that require attention.
• Provides therapy interventions using appropriate treatment protocols and techniques.
• Establishes individualized care and discharge plans and communicates these plans to appropriate parties.
• Completes comprehensive and accurate clinical documentation within established deadlines.
• Supervises assigned assistants.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
