An established healthcare provider is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist for their Inpatient Rehab Unit. This per-diem role involves evaluating patients, creating tailored treatment plans, and supervising support staff to ensure optimal patient care. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Health Science and be licensed as a Physical Therapist. Purpose & Scope:
The Physical Therapist functions within their profession's Standard of Practice. The Physical Therapist performs a thorough evaluation of patients assigned to them, establishes goals and plans of treatment to help patients with disease, injury, or disability achieve maximum function, as outlined in the Rehab Department Procedures / Operational Guidelines Manual. They will delegate responsibilities, supervise supportive personnel, assist in administrative tasks, and participate in educational, orientation, and performance improvement programs.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in health science is required.
Experience:
One year of healthcare/medical - physical medicine/rehabilitation experience is preferred.
Certification/Licensure:
Licensed as a Physical Therapist by the Virginia Department of Health Professions is required.
BLS certification is required.
