Physical Therapist (Inpatient) - Per Diem - $61.80/hr
Join the Therapy Services Team at Kingman Regional Medical Center. The role is a per diem appointment with a rate of $61.80 per hour in an interdisciplinary inpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct a Physical Therapy evaluation or screen.
- Develop an individualized Plan of Care with functional goals.
- Provide appropriate therapeutic interventions.
- Evaluate patient response to treatment and modify plan as necessary.
- Document the course of patient care, including progress made and the continuing need for treatment.
- Provide patient and/or family education to help achieve goals.
- Communicate and demonstrate a professional image for patients, families, clients, coworkers, and others.
- Adhere to policies, rules, and regulations from KHI, the Arizona State Board of Physical Therapy, and Medicare.
- Assist with orientation of new staff as requested.
- Meet KHI requirements for skills competency and safety.
- Participate in continuing education/professional development activities.
- Assist with the Physical Therapy and Physical Therapy Assistant student program.
- Participate in staff meetings, client relations, and marketing activities.
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation, meeting all regulatory requirements.
- Complete billing by the end of each shift, ensuring accuracy and justification in documentation.
- Meet individual productivity standards.
- Achieve or exceed patient satisfaction standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an APTA approved four‑year bachelor’s degree program, or foreign equivalent.
- Licensure: Current PT License through the Arizona Board of Physical Therapy.
- Certification: BLS through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Experience: Recent experience working with an adult and geriatric population.
- Preferences: Education or experience serving people with physical disabilities is desirable.
Special Position Requirements
- Exposure Category II: duties have possible, but not routine, potential for exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues.
Work Requirements
- Ability to lift and transfer patients and equipment.
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, crouch, and communicate during therapeutic interventions.
