Job summary

Stillwater Medical Center is seeking a full-time physical therapy (PT) professional to provide a full spectrum of therapy services, including assessment, treatment planning and interventions, within an interdisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care, effective communication, and collaboration across disciplines, with a schedule that may include 5-8 or 4-10 hour shifts and occasional weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of school of physical therapy or occupational therapy with a Bachelor of Science Degree, or a master’s degree from a recognized program in Speech Pathology.
• Current license to practice in Oklahoma.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Certification in basic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation procedures.
• Education/experience working with adult and geriatric populations is required.
• Education/experience with infants in NICU setting is preferred.
• Education/experience serving people with physical disabilities is preferred.
• Ability to work with confused and aggressive patients.

Details:

Monday-Friday (with weekend rotation: 1-3 weekend days per month)

Weekday schedule will change when working a weekend

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have adequate perception of sounds or adequate hearing with corrections.
• Adequate vision, or correctable with glasses/contacts, to prepare reports and read written materials.
• Able to lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderately heavy material, supplies or patients (up to or > 100 lbs.) for most of the shift.
• Able to lift, carry, push, and pull heavyweight materials (over 100 lbs.)
• Able to stand/walk for extended periods of time throughout the work schedule, with some bending and stooping.
• Demonstrate adequate stamina to heal with stressful situations and to complete the necessary work schedule.
