In this acute care setting, our Physical Therapists evaluate and treat patients with a wide range of orthopedic and medical conditions to optimize mobility and function. We work closely and collaboratively with other disciplines to meet patients' diverse needs. Summary Assists patients in reaching maximum physical performance while adjusting to disabilities. Restores patient physical functioning by interpreting physical therapy evaluations and test results; determining physical therapy treatment goals and plans; administering manual exercises; instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities and in using assistive and supportive devices. Does this position require Patient Care? Yes Essential Functions -Performs patient assessment and establishes a plan of care. -Identifies and documents goals, anticipated progress, and plans for reevaluation. -Discusses evaluation, goals, and treatment with patient and family. -Evaluates effects of treatment at various stages and adjusts treatment to achieve maximum benefit. -Participates in and contributes to department and interdisciplinary in-service education programs. -Participates in Hospital-wide quality process improvement. -Supervises PTAs according to organization policy and state regulations. -Completes billing accurately.**Qualifications**Education Doctor of Physical Therapy Physical Therapy preferred Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree?
