Job summary

Shanti Physical Therapy in Edison, NJ is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to lead patient care from evaluation through discharge, focusing on movement, strength and function.

You will supervise PTAs, design individualized care plans, teach home exercise programs, and document progress in the EMR while coordinating with referring providers and the clinic team. Outpatient orthopedics experience is a plus; NJ licensure and strong communication are essential.

Lead each patient's care from the first evaluation onward. You'll build plans around movement, strength and function, guide the treatment team, and help every patient understand what comes next.

What you’ll do

• Perform initial evaluations and re-evaluations.
• Establish clear, functional goals with each patient, built around the activities they want to get back to.
• Design and update plans of care using therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education and modalities.
• Direct and supervise Physical Therapist Assistants and aides in line with New Jersey requirements.
• Teach home exercise programs so patients know exactly what to do between visits.
• Complete accurate, timely documentation in the EMR.
• Communicate with referring providers and the clinic team as needed.
