Job summary

Dormont Manufacturing Co. is seeking a Physical Therapist II to evaluate diagnoses, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and promote functional recovery in a clinical practice setting.

You will collaborate with inter-disciplinary teams, educate patients and families, document outcomes, and support discharge planning. Current NC PT license and BLS/CPR required; 2 years of experience preferred; FTE 40 hours/week days with weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy required.
• 2 years of experience required.
• North Carolina license by the NCPT Board of Physical Therapy Examiners; CPR (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and treats diagnoses and complex patients.
• Develops individualized treatment plans based on evaluations.
• Administers therapeutic exercises and interventions to improve strength, flexibility, and range of motion.
• Educates patients and families on treatment plans and home programs.
• Collaborates on discharge plans and recommendations for continued care.
• Monitors progress and documents outcomes to adjust plans as needed.
• Collaborates with inter-disciplinary teams for holistic care.
• Assists with onboarding/training of new staff.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Profile Summary
The Physical Therapist II evaluates patients’ conditions, develops personalized treatment plans, and implements therapeutic interventions to optimize functional abilities. This position is able to effectively and efficiently treat all patients in their clinical practice setting and complete all physical therapy job functions with minimal guidance. This position initiates communication amongst inter-disciplinary team members, treats familiar patients with confidence, and advocates for their patients and team. This role requires independent practice in the primary setting and may require mentoring/guidance in complex situations and may have difficulty with cross coverage to other settings.

Essential Job Function

• Evaluates and treats all diagnoses and more complex patients.

• Conducts thorough evaluations of patients’ physical abilities, medical history, and functional limitations to develop individualized treatment plans.

• Administers therapeutic exercises and other physical therapy interventions to improve patients’ strength, flexibility, and range of motion.

• Educates patients and their families on treatment plans, home exercises, and self-management techniques to improve recovery outcomes.

• Collaborates with others in developing and implementing discharge plans and recommendations for continued care.

• Monitors and documents patients’ progress, treatment outcomes, and responses to interventions so that treatment plans can be adjusted as needed.

• Collaborates on teams from different departments to ensure coordinated patient care and holistic treatment outcomes.

• Assists with orientation and training of new staff, demonstrates an ongoing commitment to improve the performance and skill of co-workers.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

• Required: Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy.

Experience

• Required: 2 years

Licensure/Certification/Listing

• Required: North Carolina license by the NCPT Board of Physical Therapy Examiners; BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
