Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to plan and administer medically prescribed therapy programs at our onsite facility. You will supervise PTAs and staff, participate in hospice and home health case conferences, and contribute to discharge planning to restore function and relieve pain for patients.

The role requires a State PT license, a degree in Physical Therapy, and 1–2 years of hospital, rehab, or ambulatory experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree Physical Therapy required or Master’s Degree Physical Therapy preferred or Doctorate Physical Therapy preferred
  • Physical Therapist State License required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Experience in hospital, rehab or ambulatory setting 1–2 years required

  • Establishes therapy goals and formulates a treatment plan based on evaluation results.
  • Supervises PTAs according to organization policy and state regulations.
  • Provides individual, family and group therapy sessions for clients in outpatient therapy.
  • Participates in interdisciplinary group for hospice patients and case conferences for home health patients.
  • Participates in discharge planning.
  • Performs initial assessment of clinical needs using standardized tools and facilitates treatment recommendations.
  • Records all pertinent data in the patient’s medical records.

Job Summary

Summary
Responsible for planning and administering medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs for patients to restore function, relieve pain and prevent disability following disease, injury or loss of body part. They will be responsible for Physical Therapy Student and Physical Therapy Assistants as well as training new staff as needed.
