Job description

Come join our Annie Penn Rehab team to experience a variety of patient care, all in one place. We have 8 PTs and 2 PTAs, as well as OTs and SLPs that treat across the lifespan. We are located in the heart of Reidsville in a convenient location, less than a 30-minute drive from Greensboro. Our therapists qualify for "rural" pay - an additional $2.50/hour. We treat patients one-on-one for 45-minute sessions.

Position Summary

The Physical Therapist I evaluates patients' conditions, develops personalized treatment plans, and implements therapeutic interventions to optimize functional abilities. This role involves working closely with patients, guiding them through exercises and techniques to improve mobility, strength, and flexibility. It also includes educating patients on injury prevention, providing pain management strategies, and monitoring progress throughout treatment. The Physical Therapist I monitors and evaluates outcomes related to the assessment and plan of care, requiring guidance and mentoring for the completion of essential job functions.

Responsibilities
  1. Supports evaluations of patients' physical abilities, medical history, and functional limitations to develop individualized treatment plans.
  2. Administers therapeutic exercises and other physical therapy interventions to improve strength, flexibility, and range of motion.
  3. Educates patients and families on treatment plans, home exercises, and self-management techniques to enhance recovery outcomes.
  4. Collaborates on discharge plans and recommendations for continued care.
  5. Monitors and documents patients' progress, treatment outcomes, and responses to interventions, adjusting plans as needed.
  6. Works with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care and holistic treatment outcomes.
  7. Performs other duties as reasonably required or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
  • Licensure/Certification: North Carolina license by the NCPT Board of Physical Therapy Examiners; BLS (CPR) from American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
