Job Description and Duties

Under the clinical direction of the Chief Medical Executive and the direct administrative supervision of the Chief Support Executive or Correctional Health Services Administrator I/II, the Physical Therapist I, CF administers physical therapy treatments and active, passive, restorative, and resistive therapeutic treatment to patients in a correctional facility. The therapist interprets the significance of physical therapy services to patients and complies with all applicable state and federal laws, regulations, and departmental policies and procedures pertaining to the physical therapy program. The Physical Therapist I, CF maintains order, supervises the conduct of the incarcerated, and maintains the safety of persons and property, as well as the security of working areas and materials.

• Administer physical therapy treatments (active, passive, restorative, resistive) to patients in the correctional facility
• Interpret the significance of physical therapy services to patients
• Ensure compliance with state and federal laws, regulations, and departmental policies and procedures
• Maintain order and supervise conduct of incarcerated, ensuring safety of persons and property
