Description

Physical Therapist I, Outpatient Rehab

Location: UCHealth Eastview Medical Center, US:CO: Colorado Springs

Department: Outpatient Rehabilitation

FTE: PRN, 0.0, 0.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Days

Pay: $38.72 - $58.08 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Summary

Evaluates and treats patient populations for therapy needs.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
• Establishes a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient/family according to their capabilities and desires.
• ducates the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits. Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services and treatment setting. Provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs.
• Supervises and delegates the care provided by physical therapy assistants according to established licensing laws, state regulations and practice standards.
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
• CO State licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider. BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
  
  

Preferred

• Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
