Job summary

Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center is seeking a Physical Therapist for the Acute Care service. You will provide evaluation, develop treatment plans and deliver care to acute care patients, while documenting progress and educating patients and families.

Responsibilities include collaboration with hospital staff and students, participation in research and ongoing professional development to enhance patient outcomes within a respected Johns Hopkins network.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure as Physical Therapist required.
• AHA Healthcare Provider CPR required.
• 1 year of Physical Therapist experience; clinical internships completed as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide evaluation, program planning and treatment of acute care patients referred to Physical Therapy.
• Document care and educate patients, families, staff and students.
• Contribute to professional growth, clinical research and education initiatives.

General Summary

The Physical Therapist - Acute CareProvides evaluation, program planning and treatment of patients referred to Physical TherapyProvides documentation of the above and education to patients, families, hospital staff, and studentsTo participate in the enhancement of the profession, the facility, and one’s self by providing quality care, clinical research, and educationEnsures that all patients are helped to meet their maximum potential through the quality care and input to medical management provided by the Physical Therapist and that the therapist continues his or her professional growth and development contribution to the Medical Center

Minimum Qualifications

Completion of a Bachelor of Science, Master’s Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited academic program.Current State licensure as Physical Therapist required.AHA Healthcare Provider CPR required. 1 year of Physical Therapist experience required Successful completion of clinical internships as required by the academic program

Salary Range

Minimum $34.62/hour - Maximum $57.19/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
