Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is hiring a Physical Therapist to deliver skilled PT services in patients' homes, promoting mobility, strength, balance and safety. You will collaborate with patients, caregivers, and the care team to support recovery, prevent hospitalizations, and improve quality of life in a home setting.

The role requires CAPTE-accredited education, an active PT license in the assigned state, CPR certification, and 1+ year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited physical therapy program.
• Current PT license in the state you’ll work in.
• Current CPR certification.
• 1+ years of PT experience in home health or similar setting.
• If less than one year of experience, mentoring and/or residency required by regional leaders.
• Driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform reexaminations at least every 30 days and adjust interventions accordingly.

As the Physical Therapist (PT) you will be responsible for providing skilled physical therapy services to patients in their homes to promote mobility, restore function, improve strength and balance, and enhance overall safety and independence. The Physical Therapist works collaboratively with patients, caregivers, and an interdisciplinary care team to support recovery, prevent hospitalizations, and improve quality of life within the home setting.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Help patients maintain, restore and improve movement, activity and function
• Provides interventions, conducts reexaminations (every 30 days, at minimum), modifies interventions as necessary, and performs discharge planning
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy educational program as set by the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE)
• Current license to practice physical therapy specific to the state you’re assigned to work in
• Current CPR certification
• 1+ years of related physical therapy experience for PTs entering home health care to ensure that knowledge and skills are sufficient to safely provide physical therapy services to patients
• If less than one year of experience, approval from regional clinical leaders is required as well as appropriate mentoring and/or participating in a residency program
• Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $80,864 to $121,296 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
