Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized treatment programs based on comprehensive patient evaluations.

• Administer various therapeutic techniques including gait training, soft tissue mobilization, electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and more.

• Educate patients and families on equipment usage (wheelchairs, crutches, braces, prosthetics).

• Adjust treatment plans based on patient progress; collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.

• Maintain accurate documentation including evaluations, progress reports, and discharge summaries.

• Provide mentorship and supervision to Physical Therapy Assistants as needed.

• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and infection control procedures.

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and department meetings.

• Support transport and care of patients when required.

Qualifications:

• Licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice Physical Therapy in the state of New York.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.

• Experience in a hospital setting is preferred.

• Ability to lift 30 lbs independently and assist with 150 lbs as a team.

• Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to patient-centered care.
