Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Physical Therapist License in Kentucky required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and conducts medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs.
• Provides educational information to patients on injury prevention, ergonomics, and rehabilitation.
• Supervises physical therapy assistants and aides in performing treatment.
• Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient condition.
• Establishes a care plan appropriate to problems identified and involving the patient.
• Plans and carries out individually designed programs to maintain or restore function.
• Performs therapy interventions using standard physical therapy techniques.
• Directs and supervises staff and communicates effectively.
• Evaluates, fits, and adjusts prosthetic/orthotic devices and recommends modifications.
