Through strong interdisciplinary communication and cooperation, the Physical Therapist will assist in the progression of mobility-related tasks to facilitate a comprehensive return to function for a variety of patients.

Aiken Regional Medical Centers, located in Aiken, South Carolina, is a 273-bed acute care facility providing top quality and safe healthcare to the residents of Aiken and surrounding communities since 1917. Position Description

To provide Physical Therapy services including evaluation, treatment plan development, treatment, delegation of treatment, family training, and discharge planning to patients in a hospital-based inpatient rehab setting, in accordance with facility policy, standards, and philosophy.

The Therapist will be expected to meet documentation standards accurately, timely, and appropriately.

Physical Therapists will enjoy almost exclusively 1-on-1 treatments in a supportive and collaborative atmosphere where the primary focus is on patient improvement. They will work closely with other staff including Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, Nurses, Techs, and Physicians, toward seeing patients return home (which over 90% of them do).

Qualifications and Requirements
  • Degree from an accredited program of Physical Therapy (Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate).
  • Prefer 1 year experience in an acute/inpatient setting; but not required.
  • Current SC license and BLS certification.
  • Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessments given by the facility.
Expected Skills, Availability, and Abilities
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Therapist should expect to work at least 1 weekend per quarter, scheduled in advance.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with patients, families, and coworkers.
  • Clinical competence and commitment to excellence.
