Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver patient-centered therapy programs that restore function and improve quality of life. The role involves planning and implementing medically prescribed therapies, using a range of modalities and equipment, and closely monitoring patient progress.

The ideal candidate holds a DPT or equivalent and demonstrates clinical expertise, with a current NJ Physical Therapist license and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy, M.S. in Physical Therapy or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT).
• Clinical experience in physical therapy is preferred.
• Licenses: Physical Therapist License and BLS/AHA Basic Life Support for healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and conducts medically prescribed physical therapy programs to restore function, prevent disability following disease, injury or loss of a body part, and help patients reach maximum performance levels.
• Plans therapy involving physical exercise, massage, heat, water, etc.
• Utilizes mechanical and electrical equipment and prosthetic and orthotic devices.
• Evaluates, records and reports on patient's progress.
