Job description

Overview

Join Symbria’s Internal Travel Team. Are you a therapist looking for travel assignments but want the perks of a full-time employee? Symbria is offering full-time travel positions that include benefits such as health insurance, PTO, and continuing education. Travel assignments can be placed anywhere within our organization; we operate in 10 states with various settings. A monthly travel stipend is offered in addition to a competitive salary.

Responsibilities
  • Review and evaluate physician’s referrals and patient medical records to determine the Physical Therapy program required.
  • Evaluate each patient’s current level of functioning using approved evaluation techniques, tests and observations, and prepare written treatment programs based on evaluations.
  • Administer a prescribed Physical Therapy program to restore and maintain maximum function and prevent disability using a range of therapeutic modalities.
  • Coordinate physical therapy services with Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology and the Nursing department.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation in the patient chart, re-evaluate patient progress, and revise treatment programs when necessary.
  • Communicate Physical Therapy philosophy, treatment approaches, and goals to patients, families, and other rehabilitation team members.
  • Supervise Symbria Rehab Physical Therapy Assistants, monitor productivity and staffing needs within the community.
  • Complete all required clinical and billing documentation and submit in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to Symbria Rehab’s mission, Code of Conduct, policies and procedures, and maintain productivity standards.
  • Fully utilize technology provided to document and enhance client care.
  • Adhere to terms and conditions of travel assignment contracts and be available to travel to any Symbria location.
  • Provide own transportation between patient visits and travel assignments.
  • Any and all duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school for Physical Therapy.
  • A valid registered license is required for Symbria's operating states, or the ability to obtain a license or compact license to support assignments in any designated state.
  • If using a compact license, must have a full license in your state of residence.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, and basic math skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Proficient use of computers and Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Acute care, long-term care and/or rehabilitation experience (preferred but not required).
Travel Assignment Information
  • Assignments are based on 13-week internal contracts with possible extensions or reassignment based on company and staffing needs.
  • Each assignment may include a monthly living stipend based on location and travel.
  • Continuous assignments are guaranteed for one year; after a year, there may be relocation assistance or continued internal travel positioning.
