JOB SUMMARY

The Physical Therapist will carry out an individualized program of physical therapy including assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, education, and communication to maximize a patient's progress toward achieving functional goals. The Physical Therapist will also maintain a positive working relationship with other health professionals and ancillary staff.

The staff member must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status. They must be able to interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the unit's/area's/department's policies and procedures.

• Hospice Services
  
  
  
  • Therapy Services will provide education and training to hospice patients, families and staff within the scope of practice for the greater palliation and management of hospice patients and families that Spirit Mountain Hospice serves. Therapy services (PT, OT, and SLP) will be available after hours and weekends to assist the hospice team, if needed, to provide for the greater comfort and safety of the patient and caregivers.
