Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to join our Pasadena outpatient team as a float, serving multiple locations including Annapolis, Pasadena, Waugh Chapel, and Gambrills. You will evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, implement therapies, document progress, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure smooth access to care.

Ideal candidates hold a PT license in MD/DC/VA, maintain BLS CPR certification, and demonstrate a patient-centered approach and flexible

MedStar Health is looking for a Physical Therapist (float) to join our team at Therapy - Pasadena!We are looking foralicensed physical therapist with professional competency as a general practitioner in physical therapy;demonstrateduse of varied evaluation and treatment approaches;customer service skills for interacting with patients, including communicating with patients and family members of diverse ages and backgrounds;andeffective communication.

The Physical Therapist provides physical therapy services to outpatients/clients, to include but not limited to screening and evaluation, treatment planning, treatment implementation, treatment re-assessment and revision, patient/client re-evaluation, discharge planning, and documentation at a minimum of three (3) outpatient locations. The Physical Therapist participates as requested in program planning and protocol development and assists the team in meeting established goals

Primary Duties:

• Providesevaluation services including review of pertinenthistoricalinformation, performance of specific assessments, and determination of recommendations and documentation of results. Explains evaluation findings and treatmentplantopatientand family and incorporatespatientand family in the goals setting.
• Demonstratesproficiencyin implementation of treatment protocols based upon evaluation findings, the patient's presentation, and the evolving health care environment. Consultswith other healthcare professionals asindicated. Recognizes and documents changes in patient's condition requiring modification of the plan of care and/or the need for medical/rehabilitation consultation.
• Completesappropriate dischargeplanning and follow-up care. Accurately andtimelydocuments and charges for patient care activitiesconsideringour evolving health care environment, painting a clear picture of the patient's course of care including focusedinitialevaluation/plan of care thatestablishesbaseline and goals, daily encounter notes, interim progress summaries, and discharge evaluation.
• Demonstrates effective time management and meets productivity expectations. Managean accurateschedule. Demonstrates a professional commitment toprovidefrictionless patient access to care through flexibility, adaptability, creativity, and actions/behaviors that display empathy in our patient consumer driven environment.
• Takes initiative in pursuing and directing continuing education for professional growth and competency for self and organization. Serves as a clinical instructor to assign students.Assistswith orientation and mentoring ofinexperienced staff, students, volunteers, and technicians.Participates in team removal of barriers to access, understands CSI measurement data of thesitesand actively engages in the Access NRH initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's,Master's,or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.
• Graduateof an accredited school of Physical Therapy.
• Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia licensurerequiredasdeemednecessary for your specific location(s).
• American Heart Association'sBLS (Basic Life Support)for Healthcare ProvidersCPR (Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation)certification.
