Job summary

Community Health Network is seeking a Float Physical Therapist for inpatient/acute care to support the IP Therapy Float Pool at Community Hospital East. This full-time role requires evaluating and treating patients across multiple facilities and locations, with teaching opportunities and participation in interdisciplinary planning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Degree is required.
  • Must have Indiana Physical Therapy license or temporary permit.
  • Minimum of three years of experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of anatomy/physiology, evaluation and therapy, and current professional trends.

Responsibilities

  • The Float Physical Therapist evaluates, plans, and provides therapy for appropriate patients across locations.
  • Assist PT & Rehab team in covering patient-care needs during absences or high census periods.
  • Participates in teaching opportunities or clinical education of students and inter-disciplinary program planning.
  • Maintain a safe environment conducive to effective team functioning and positive patient outcomes.

Physical therapists will also be responsible forparticipating in teaching opportunitiesorclinical education of studentsas well asinter-disciplinary program planning. Most importantly, you must establish and maintain a safe environment conducive to effective team functioning,positive patient outcomesandpersonal safety. The primary work location is community Hospital East.

Exceptional skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited program is required
  • Must have a validIndiana Physical Therapy license or temporary permit
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience strongly preferred
  • Must beknowledgeable in anatomy/physiology, evaluation and therapy, theoretical concepts and techniques, current materials and technological advances, and new professional trends.
  • You will effectively provide quality service to impaired individuals and communicate effectively with staff, peers, patients, families, physicians, and all internal/external customers.
  • An ability to incorporate a basic understanding of the behaviors, developmental needs, physical needs, emotional needs, and comfort of the child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient will help.
  • Also, you must be able to lift/transfer patients and treatment supply items without restriction.
