Responsibilities
  • Ensure delivery of high quality patient care services
  • Perform direct patient care, including evaluation of muscle, skeletal, neurological and other physical problems
  • Support and encourage multidisciplinary coordination of treatment
  • Ensure proper documentation of patient care
  • Maintain professional standards through compliance with quality assurance policies/ procedures as well as applicable regulations and corporate policies
  • Implement effective communication with staff, medical personnel, and patients to ensure coordinated efforts and high-quality service
  • Demonstrate problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
  • Report department issues and needs to the Administrator promptly
  • Design and interpret physical therapy treatment programs to aid patient recovery
  • Educate patients on proper care, supports, and exercises
  • Perform or delegate treatments including modalities, exercises, gait training, and hydrotherapy
  • Follow documentation and reporting protocols
  • Secure prescriptions for treated patients
  • Collaborate with physicians to ensure comprehensive care
  • Assist with tours and marketing as needed
  • Protect center assets against loss or waste
  • Participate in professional development and training
  • Coordinate with Outcome Assurance Injury Coordinator or Case Manager
  • Communicate patient progress and compliance
  • Participate in clinical instruction and quality management evaluations
  • Ensure compliance with licensing, certification, and accreditation standards
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy (required)
  • Master’s Degree preferred
  • Outpatient orthopedic experience preferred
  • Strong service mentality and attention to detail
  • Decision-making and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent customer service and professionalism
  • Ability to handle confidential information per HIPAA
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training
  • Effective communication skills
  • Proficiency with computers and record-keeping
