How You'll Help Transform Healthcare:

PRN/Flex schedule at CNRVMC - Carilion New River Valley Medical Center

Confirms and interprets physician referrals, performs patient assessments, and plans and implements individualized treatment programs considering the patient's developmental and/or chronological age and medical diagnoses, in accordance with regulations governing the principles and practice of Physical Therapy.

1. Provides patient care based on physician referral and age-appropriate assessment, aiming to meet goals set with the patient and/or family.
2. Coordinates patient care and clinical activities through written and/or verbal communication with patients, families, therapists, Clinical Team Leaders, managers, physicians, and other healthcare team members.
3. Documents in the patient's medical record and completes other patient care-related forms in compliance with regulatory agencies and hospital policies.
4. Supervises PTAs and collaborates with therapy staff, support staff, volunteers, and students to ensure efficient clinical activity and quality care.
5. Participates in departmental and professional activities such as in-services, performance improvement, program development/evaluation, new employee orientation, committee membership, peer review, and staff meetings.

What We Require:

Education: Graduate of an approved school of Physical Therapy. Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience or Master's/Doctorate degree required.

Experience: Site-specific care experience preferred but not required; one year of clinical experience required for Home Health positions.

Licensure and Certification: Licensed to practice in Virginia by the Virginia Board of Physical Therapy. AHA BLS certification within six months of employment.

Other Minimum Qualifications: Strong interpersonal, communication, customer service, and teamwork skills.
