Physical Requirements This position requires regularly standing or walking with objects weighing up to 10 pounds; and lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to or over 50 pounds; intermittently sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time; and performing tasks with repetitive motions (such as typing); standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds; working in confined spaces and/or at heights above four feet. Also involves some job-related travel (less than 10% of time); exposure to risk of injury from moving, lifting, or positioning patients, equipment, or materials; and exposure to hazardous chemicals and fumes including waste, burns, cuts/punctures, blood-borne or airborne pathogens, recombinant DNA or viral vectors, and combative/violent people.
Shift Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00pm.
Job Summary The Physical Therapist (Outpatient) will provide direct patient care and will assist the supervisor and senior leaders in program development while adhering to the policies and procedures of the University of Kentucky HealthCare Enterprise and in accordance with state and federal regulations. Additionally, this position will perform physical therapy evaluations and render physical therapy treatments following a physician’s order; treat patients with a variety of diagnoses; and perform appropriate documentation in the medical record.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and computer skills, and will be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
